We are a well-established, privately owned General Contractor and Architectural Millwork Manufacturer based in Ellington, Connecticut. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Lead Commercial Construction Estimator to join our passionate and experienced team. This position plays a pivotal role in the success of our projects and offers the opportunity to thrive in a collaborative and supportive work environment.

𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐨𝐥𝐞
In this key role, you will lead the estimating process for both commercial construction and architectural millwork projects. Your expertise will ensure accurate proposals, competitive bids, and successful project execution. We’re looking for a motivated professional with a sharp eye for detail and a strong understanding of construction cost management.

𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬
• Conduct on-site evaluations to assess existing conditions and inform accurate project estimates.
• Develop detailed cost estimates covering all aspects of millwork fabrication, installation, and commercial construction scopes.
• Collaborate on project proposals, bids, and contract documentation.
• Present and explain estimates to clients, supporting deal negotiations and closings.
• Define scopes of work and prepare bid packages for subcontractor trades.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes; negotiate favorable pricing.
• Oversee and manage estimates for multiple projects simultaneously with precision and efficiency.

𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (equivalent experience will be considered).
• Proven experience in commercial construction and architectural millwork estimating.
• Familiarity with estimating tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, PlanGrid, On-Screen Takeoff, BuildingConnected, or Sage is highly valued.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized with excellent time management abilities.
