𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Des Moines, Iowa, United States
𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐞: Monday to Friday, around 45 hours/week
𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐥: Up to 10% (job sites, dealer locations, trade shows)
𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐲: $85,000 - $95,000 (Commensurate with experience and qualifications)

𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐨𝐥𝐞
We’re seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you'll play a key part in the design, quoting, and detailing of structural steel products within the agricultural industry. Your work will help deliver high-quality solutions in a professional, ethical, and customer-focused manner.

𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬
🞄 Perform structural analysis and design calculations in compliance with industry codes and standards.
🞄 Develop layout and detailed designs based on schematic inputs from lead engineers.
🞄 Create design drawings and collaborate with Detailers to finalize plans.
🞄 Analyze structural models to ensure compliance with applicable codes.
🞄 Maintain and communicate project progress using a gated design process and master project list.
🞄 Support quoting and specification gathering efforts.
🞄 Provide occasional field support for structural products; site visits may be required but are infrequent.
🞄 Innovate and develop structural designs that meet or exceed both customer expectations and regulatory requirements.
🞄 Assist in prototype construction and validation to confirm design and cost alignment.

𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬
🞄 Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
🞄 4+ years in structural steel design; agriculture or industrial project experience preferred
🞄 Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain PE within one year

𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐬
🞄 Deep knowledge of structural analysis and design principles
🞄 Proficient with AISC 360, AISC 341, IBC, ASCE 7, and OSHA 1910 standards
🞄 Skilled in balancing design quality with cost efficiency
🞄 Advanced experience with 3D structural analysis software (RISA 3D preferred)
🞄 Proficient in AutoCAD or similar 3D design tools
🞄 Competent in Microsoft Office Suite
🞄 Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
🞄 Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative mindset
🞄 Ability to manage ambiguity and competing priorities
🞄 Self-motivated with a customer-focused approach
🞄 High integrity and accountability in delivering project outcomes
