An established and growing construction firm in Western Pennsylvania is seeking a skilled 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐲 𝐂𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐥 𝐄𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫 to support its Heavy/Industrial operations. In this role, you will prepare competitive proposals based on accurate cost estimates — including general conditions, self-performed work, and subcontracted scopes. You will be responsible for quantifying work scopes, assisting in the development of general conditions, and interpreting RFPs, drawings, specifications, and RFIs. 𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬
• Prepare detailed and competitive cost estimates for heavy civil projects
• Develop pricing for general conditions, self-perform, and subcontracted work
• Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents
• Collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure accurate and complete bids

𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; or a technical degree with at least 5 years of combined field and estimating experience
• Proven experience in heavy civil estimating, especially with earthwork take-offs and self-performed work
• Ability to work in both office and on-site project environments
• Willingness to travel or temporarily relocate as project demands require
• Proficiency in construction estimating tools, preferably Carlson, HCSS, and Bluebeam
• Strong planning, communication, and organizational skills
• Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and excellence
